Merrick Garland must explain why he failed to brief the President about the case’s extent. Did he attempt to indict others, or why didn’t he? While Biden is indirectly responsible as the President at the time, I think he might not have been aware.

During the Biden administration the DOJ worked as an independent agency as it should, Epstein had died and Ghislaine Maxwell was indicted.
There is no evidence that the FBI or DOJ brief ed Biden on the extent of this case. I’m sure he would have used it in 2024 elections had he known.

While the victims fought in court between 2008-2019 to have their case heard, it wasn’t until 2019 that a judge made a ruling on the original case. Acosta violated the victims rights by not notifying them of the plea deal. Before the Miami Herald series tthe true extent of this case was unknown.

Miami Herald published several articles in 2018, raising questions about the handling of the case. This reignited the interest on this case. At that point Obama had been gone from office for two years. Trump was the president.
