I care because when I go arguing about these things elsewhere, I don't want to be caught of guard saying Trump didn't respond when he did, because then the whole conversation ends on that note alone, whoever I'm talking to is going to ignore everything else I have to say. I completely agree, there's a double standard here in terms of effort expended, attention paid to the matter, and how far this is being taken, especially since we don't have a perpetrator or motive yet.

Trump's no doubt been stoking the flames and contributing to the problem, as did all these "shock jocks". You're right to call it out, even if Trump, or in all likelihood someone acting on his behalf, covered their ass this time by doing the minimum in condemning the killing of those congressmen.
