Unless we are going to restrict the writing of stories about teens to teens themselves (who, on average, are not actually able to produce 75k words of marketable prose), then adults writing about teens having sex is unavoidable & just as fine as sex education being taught by adults, not teens.

No, you don't have to wonder about us. You see, we were once teenagers who had sex, so it's not terribly hard for us, when writing about other, fictional teenagers (whose personalities we craft from our own experiences) to depict them having sex.

It's called verisimilitude. And it's necessary.

Instead, I want to signal to younger readers that while I wrote these books, they are not meant for them.

Each of the ten books I have planned (I've now written two, neither published yet) focuses on different intersectional identities in the area at that time, exploring Nahua gender, sexuality, and social strata as arguably no one has done before—using the tools of queer historical romance.

Anahuac is the Nahuatl name for the central basin of Mexico, which is now basically ... Mexico City.

In the early 1400s, it was full of lakes and Nahua city-states, including Tenochtitlan, Xochimilco, Tetzcoco, Chalco, etc.

So the series is tentatively called LAKESIDE LOVES.
