Yeah it really is, isn't it!?! I was listening to some of the older mario tennis soundtracks this morning and i completely forgot that the one on 3DS has a remix of Out of the Woods from WL3 in it. They used to do really cool shit with the sports game OSTs.

Oh also, you can't play as Hammer Bro in it. They keep doing this, man

The music leaves a lot to be desired though. I don't know why nintendo's been going with making new mario sports OSTs really generic sounding. They've got a waluigi pinball court and DON'T have a cover of the actual theme of it in there. That's like half of Waluigi Pinball's identity!

Played the new Mario Tennis with me best mate yesterday. It is REALLY solid in terms of gameplay, there hasn't been a mario sports game that's gripped us like that in a long while. By the end of our play session we said that we actually wanted to play it a second time!

It will make you chortle 10x more in it's actual context, i gurantee it

Gonna start doing a stream playthrough of Yakuza 0 soon. Possibly friday morning is the start of which. I wouldn't normally do these sorts of "announcement" posts, but Y0 is quite a long game, which means i'm gonna have to make a LOT of thumbnails. Here's one of them!

As for why i didn't actually name said manga in this post, i had 12 characters left by the end of it. If i wrote the title in there, it would've been -22 (or maybe -24, i might've miscounted)

A new volume of my favorite currently running manga came out today. Six volumes in and there hasn't been a chapter that's felt like a miss yet, that's impressive! On top of that, it's somehow been able to pivot from pure romantic comedy to being more of a drama without it feeling sudden!

Because i feel like with Discord in particular, people have got a lot more to lose if they don't organise properly. Hell, i'm pretty sure i know some people who effectively use discord AS IF it were their phone's text messaging an calls functions, like imagine if your contacts were just gone one day

So, serious question because i haven't been able to follow the current news fully, are people actually switching off of Discord or is it gonna turn out to be a boycott in name only?

It feels like by combining Kragg from rivals of aether and Akihiko from P4AU they've made something truly unique.

I think the unfortunate part about that Avatar fighting game coming out is there's not that much source material to pull from, but godDAMN are they working with what they have! I feel like putting an actual wall behind the opponent that you can juggle off of is some boss character shit lmao.

Oh man, i've been playing it a bit more and now i really regret getting it on switch 2. I bet i'd vibe super well with the Ryukyu style if the framerate was stable so i could time the perfect guards properly. The demo did a really shit job at explaining the defensive side of combat in Kiwami 3

Which is a bit of a shame, because the actual core tennis gameplay seems pretty solid so far.

Wow, the new mario tennis has the worst online latentcy Nintendo's had in a while. Nothing will ever beat Smash Brawl's netcode in that aspect, but the new mario tennis is definitely more like Smash 4's...

It kind of bums me out that there was never a soundtrack cd for Big Tournment Golf/Neo Turf Masters. It's some of Hiyamuta's best work imo, on par with Metal Slug 3 to me

Played some Real Bout #FatalFury Special with a friend of mine today. Man, the plane system in RBFFS specifically adds so much, i really wish they'd do a port like they did for RB2. Don't get me wrong, i love RB2, but being able to read lane changes and respond with your own lane change is so cool.

Like i feel like PG still falls under the area where you can reasonably call a film "for kids" if that's the intended audience, but it doesn't really feel like a kids film. It more feels like it was meant for people in their late teens to early twenties.

I rewatched Coraline tonight. I feel like i say or at least think this every time i watch it, but it really surprises me that it got a PG rating in most countries. It really should've been an M at least, considering a lot of the themes in it. Parts of the film still creep me out to this day...
