FWIW, people are always going to make comments but, in my experience, it's not so much about you or your writing rather than projection on the part of the commentor. From my experience with RP communities, jealousy often plays a part on it. Try not to let those comments get you down!

Oh wow, yeah that makes it tough. I've never had to deal with that, so I don't have any good advice to offer. I hope it goes well. And worse comes to worse, pizza slices freeze well, so thst could be an option if you end up with too much food because ppl commit and then don't show.
