It is so very frustrating! Sometimes you just want to shake people until they snap out of it. It helps to remember that we don't chose what we believe, we become convinced of things. It takes a lot of revisiting, rethinking, breaking down indoctrinated roadblocks, to really change one's mind.

No. That would fall under fascism. The only healthy way to rid society of religion is to educate, speak out, and shame religion and people who support it for supporting it, while explaining in detail why the shaming is happening. Banning ideas always backfires. Systemically changing minds works.
