HAWTHORN (huath) sixth moon of the Celtic calendar (May 13-June 9). Fertility + fire allow you to repair relationships + re-energize your heart. The Hawthorn is also seen as the triple goddess: maiden flowers, mother berries, + elder thorns.

ASH (Nion) is the third full moon of the Celtic calendar (February 18-March 17). A time for introspection + work on the inner self. The ash is one of three sacred trees to the Druids. Also known as the Unicorn tree, supporting the universe, connecting earth + heaven.

Aw! Aren't they fun? I did them all when I helped set up 😁

How fitting that the artwork was tagged by bluesky as "sexually suggestive". Unsurprisingly the female figure is automatically sexual. 🙄I tagged artistic nudity myself.

“I am my own protector” was created in response to Roe v Wade being reversed and the flood of anti-abortion laws that have been introduced and enacted since. In the piece, nature’s guardians shield the womxn against negative energies + harmful influences.

Tomorrow is #IWD2025. This year feels incredibly important to express how important womxn are in life, the workforce, our government. The current administration and big companies are trying to remove womxn from the narrative, strip them of their achievements and basic rights to their own bodies.

This past weekend I celebrated Imbolc (the Celtic celebration of daylight returning) with a bonfire, setting intentions for the year and decluttering and cleaning our living spaces (I did not venture into the kids' chaotic rooms 😅).
I created an ink and watercolor inspired by my research on Imbolc.
