As a (struggling) student of the Irish language I totally endorse this - we can’t understand our present without a knowledge of our language. Even though I’ll never be fluent I’m so pleased to begin to grasp the origins of our landscape & hugely indebted to Manchan Magan.

It will be interesting to see the reactions to it, though.

This might be a good starting point. I don't have my copy to hand right now to check the extent, though. I can take a look when I get home later.
An infinity loop made of various European country flags, with a blue heart containing the EU stars at the center-right. Below, bold and regular text reads: "From many languages, one unbreakable bond." A small EU emblem is placed in the bottom-right corner.
Today is the European Day of Languages. And this year, we mark 25 years of celebrating multilingualism in our Union. 🥳
Languages open doors. They help us connect, explore cultures, make lifelong friends, and journey further.
We remain stronger, united in our diversity.

The number of people who told me last year that ‘it can’t get any worse for Gaza.’
But it always could get worse, things can always get worse- and they have.
We are now witnessing an official, full-blown, US-approved famine in Gaza.
Shameful.
Good on the Mirror for having the bravery to strike out against this bullshit
