People who are certain the GOP will rig the midterms need to be clear about what mechanisms they believe will be used to achieve that rigging. There are definitely ways they can seek to influence the elections, but I get the feeling people think there's a big "Rig It" lever in DC they can pull.

I understand being let down, truly. I will never get over missing out on My Chemical Romance opening for Muse or seeing Head Automatica live. But to complain about it publicly to the point that you’re offered free tickets and merch is ridiculous.

I go to a lot of concerts, and I’ve had a few canceled over the years. Before social media, you’d get an email from the ticketing company, and the artist might post a statement to their website explaining why. Now, people want full-blown apologies and take it personally.

At some point over the summer, my friends’ group chat started talking about a famous female artist who canceled a concert and got backlash for how she handled it. While I agreed it wasn’t great, I also said social media has made people expect way too much. This is exactly what I meant.
