Senator Lindsey Graham is quietly pushing an amendment to make sanctions on Syria permanent.
Even at the height of Assadโs war crimes and mass atrocities, Congress did not make these sanctions permanent.
The full repeal and removal of Caesar sanctions is the only path forward.

Lindsey Graham just moved to make sanctions on Syria forever.
This extreme amendment to the NDAA would remove their 2029 expiration, let Congress reapply sanctions at will, and block Syriaโs recovery.
The Senate could vote any moment. At least 41 Senators must vote NO.

Foreign interference and disinformation turned a local dispute into a national crisis, leaving nearly 100 dead and tens of thousands displaced.
