A map shows Cuckoo Frederic's migration from the UK across Europe, then over the Sahara Desert in Africa. A headshot of Cuckoo Frederic features, with an airhorn graphic above which holds the wording: Cuckoo Update. Frederic crosses the Sahara Desert.
Cuckoo Frederic is on the move and has crossed the Sahara! π
Frederic had been hanging around in France while his fellow satellite-tagged Cuckoos had made it to Africa. He finally set off south around 17 September & heβs now conquered crossing the Sahara Desert in Africa! π #Ornithology #Birds

A yellow sign on the side of a bench, with a "forbidden" road-style sign with a dog in water: "Please do not let your dog swim in the new ponds. Many flea treatments are deadly to aquatic life, which we hope will flourish in these new habitats."
The sign has the logos of cambridge city council, and Friends of Logan's Meadow
Spotted next to two recently dug ponds/mini lakes in Cambridge. Feels like the city council may have listened to @davegoulson.bsky.social π

I've tabled two crucial amendments to the Planning & Infrastructure Bill: enforcing an βoverall improvement test" or β if govt keep weakening nature protection β striking out Part 3 so they have to rewrite it. Report Stage is in June; the govt must fix the issues with this Bill before then.

World leaders: stand up to Trump, starting *now*
Donald Trump is a bully. And like any bullyβ¦we need to stand up to him. If we donβt, our international world order is in danger. Heβs already threatened to annex Canada, Greenland, and the Panama Can
Trump just orchestrated one of the most shameful moments in US history.
We need *all leaders* outside the US to stand up to Trump.
For that we need to show they have our backing. Add your name and share this link widely, it has never been more critical to have our voices heard:

Trump is saying this to a burglary victim: "Iβve reached a deal with your burglar. Iβm letting him keep everything heβs stolen, and youβll have to give him a bit more stuff. In return, youβll pay me half your salary till you die."
