Given a nor'easter and a site visit bearing down on me simultaneously, I'm making vegetable soup with garlic and herb sausage meatballs. I won't be home between Monday night and Thursday afternoon, and soup waiting for me when I get home will be a good thing.

I decided to go fiind out if wak-in Covid shots at CVS are really a thing. They are, so I did. Now I can probably not get Covid on transatlantic flights next month.

For some reason, the UPS tracking site has decided I'm in Spain, and is tracking my cat food between Pennsylvania and Boston in Spanish. For some reason, CBS has decided that my mother will only get NFL football games in Spanish. Weirdness.

In 2017, for our last accreditation, we submitted something like 5400 pages of documents. Today, for our 2025 accreditation, we submitted 6500 pages. I don't know whether this is getting ridiculous or whether it already got there.

I seem to have traded being unable to spell in Russian for being unable to spell in Welsh.

Dad would probably be amused at the issues I'm having with Hindi word order, and he'd definitely have been amused at my learning to say "my hedgehog wants a glass of water" in Russian. I'm coming across fewer things that hurt because I can't tell him that, but that's one of them.

Today would be an excellent day to go play with the hose. By which I mean "clean the boot tray and the litter mats." But I really mean "play with the hose."

Hypothesis: absence of sunshine on weekends can be made up for by presence of lemon cookies. Method: make lemon cookies. Result: undetermined as of yet since cookies are still hot. But it smells good in here.

I bought some new catnip mice for the first time in quite a while. Quirk is engaged in a running battle with one of them. I can't tell who's winning.
