This is petty. The FBI has reassigned several agents simply for being photographed kneeling in solidarity with racial justice protesters in D.C. during the 2020 demonstrations after George Floyd’s murder.

The reality here is so fucking boring that it doesn’t stick on anyone’s head. What “they” did was make food cheap and “ultra palatable” which is the fancy phrase for “very yummy.”

Thats it. A huge part of the problem is that food is too good.

The Syrian Arabic word for a hamster is أبو جراب (abu jrab), where jrab refers to a pouch/saddlebag/tote. And abu often means “father of,” but can also function as a general honorific (like “mister”). So it’s not too big a stretch to say the Syrian Arabic word for a hamster means “Mister Saddlebags”
