Watch: Making a left turn from the right through lane is rarely a good idea, but many people do it. Crystal City, VA this morning. This vehicle came off the airport road ramp where there is no legal access to make the left turn onto S. 23rd St. from Richmond Highway. Video via SafetyVid.org.

And that pretty much sums up Clarendon's problem every weekend. It's a never ending battle over who has the bigger Tony. Despite what I see your brother write about you, you have your useful moments. I'm sure I will steal it and use it on platforms where you don't reside.

UPDATE: Here is information from @VSPPIO about this morning's crash:

(3) The driver who struck the trooper was not immediately caught. The trooper’s injuries are not reported to be serious. Waiting on more details from VSP.

(2) STATter911 video shows two views of the collision as the Porsche came across two lanes and hit the side of the VSP vehicle. A few minutes later, video shows a man walking down the ramp from I-395 to Rt. 110N and toward Pentagon property. (more)

POLICE ACTIVITY: ACPD is investigating a fight inside the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street during which one juvenile male in his teens was stabbed. He was transported to an area hospital with injuries considered non-life threatening. One juvenile male suspect in custody.

Police checked out a report they were comIng from Virginia Highlands Park. I don't believe they found anything. Likely fireworks. Also had someone telling me they also heard them in the midnight hour. I did not hear them as they happened but the cameras picked them up.

(2) Arlington is full of examples of repeated "streets" and "roads" and locations where odd and even numbers are on the same side of the street (I live on one such street). Scrapping the quadrant system and changing names aren't happening. Just train the people properly.It's not that hard.
