I was once at a jam band show (I'm a punk, not a jam band dude) and was hanging out by the speaker stacks sulking, and this beautiful young woman walked up to me and asked, "are you a cop?" True story.

My design weight is 160. I'm built to be a middleweight. I'm a long way from that still, but I'm making (slow) progress in the right direction. ;-)

I'm not here to brag (yes I am), but I'm back into a medium tee shirt. I still have a long way to go, but screw you, standard American diet. I win this round. ;-)

Thank you Queen Bee. Rachel has been a friend of mine for a very long time, and she was the obvious choice. Misty, who is insanely detail-oriented, said, if the wedding was tomorrow, we could pull it off. So we're in good shape. I just keep bumbling my way through the chores. ;-)

English is possibly the most irregular language there is. But that irregularity gives it immense flexibility. But it is hard to learn for non-native speakers.

Our cats were little kittens when Misty found them in an abandoned apartment building (since torn down). They came running out to her, and she called me to ask what to do. I said, "bring them home." They are spectacular, and have probably added 5 years to my father's life.

Good morning and happy Thursday Nubian Queen Bee and everyone! There is currently a 20 lb. klutz of a cat between me and my keyboard. I have described this one as "aggressively affectionate, and that's what's happening right now. Have a great and productive Thursday everyone. :)

(And the headaches are a leftover from all the concussions. It is definitely not a spine issue.) Get well soon and get riding before winter. :)

We grow zinnias and sunflowers in our courtyard, not so much for the flowers, but for the goldfinches that they attract. Goldfinches are notoriously shy of humans, but zinnia and sunflower seeds are a powerful draw for them. :)

I went to a chiropractor exactly once. I've broken so many bones that I still set off airport metal detectors. The chiropractor started yanking my spine around, and the sonofabitch re-broke one of my ribs. I never went back.

I was born kind, but I had to learn to be gentle. I am somewhat (cough) intellectually aggressive and rhetorically blunt, but through hard won wisdom, I eventually learned when to lean out and be quiet.
