Cรกdiz, Spain. A day spent in Cadiz. Weโ€™ve spent a weekend here before, so took it fairly easy this time.

Someone who presumably wouldnโ€™t engrave anything on the bullet, as reported, and maybe affect its flight.

Some absolute nutters. MTG and her Jewish space lasers nonsense and people lap it up.

I remember using ftp, telnet, gopher etc. Also having to buy a web browser, Netscape, and it was delivered as two 3.5โ€ disks sellotaped to a piece of cardboard

Youโ€™ll know that the web came some time after the internet started though. Some people think that a Brit invented the internet, including big companies such as BA and BT in their advertising at one time.

I think I could get out onto the internet using services like Compuserve and Cix in the late 80โ€™s before the UK had its first ISP, Demon. Wasnโ€™t a very friendly place to get around, but I remember I could telnet into Steve Ballardโ€™s computers at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.

The origins of the internet date back to the 1960/70s. Not sure about some of that gear though.

I went to Cardiff once. The absolute best thing about it at the time was the Dr Who exhibition there.

The four way stops in the USA seemed a waste of energy. The first time we went to Boston (during the Big Dig) we hired a car to drive to Cape Cod we came a sign for an upcoming rotary. That confused us until we saw it was a roundabout.

Itโ€™s an amazing place. Did you get to the initiation well in the gardens below? I didnโ€™t know about it and missed seeing it. Itโ€™s on my list if
Iโ€™m ever in Lisbon again.
