This morning, every Republican representative from California voted Yes on the House’s budget reconciliation package.
Let’s be clear: they voted to take health care and food assistance away from millions of vulnerable Californians.

The original House bill would have led to about 10 million more uninsured people, according to CBO. The amended version that passed would lead to more people losing health insurance. If this bill gets enacted, it would represent the biggest rollback in federal support for health care ever.

House Republicans have voted to advance Trump's budget bill.
This bill will:
—Increase the national debt
—Throw millions off their health care with Medicaid cuts
—Cut taxes for billionaires
—Raise costs for the poorest Americans
To understand what the GOP is forcing through at midnight:
•Gutting $880 billion from Medicaid
•Gutting $500 billion from Medicare
•Gutting funding for SNAP (food assistance)
•Gutting clean energy protections, which will also cost 400,000 jobs

Here’s a huge part of the problem…this is as much a health care bill as it is a tax and immigration bill—and it should be reported as such.
They’re cutting upwards of $1 trillion from the ACA and Medicaid with more than 10m losing insurance — and this framing gives them a pass on that deviation.
