Could an explanation be that the most privileged people also see the least need to disclose such identity markers (see also pronouns)? I.e. those lower on the pay scale are also more likely to understand the intersectional importance of disclosing sex.or. and/or (dis)ability...? Just spitballing...

I bet that if you'd ask GenAI to produce a movie about a US civil war, it would produce this movie - just acontextual imagery, content without meaning or takeaway. See also 'Warfare'. Watch 'Lee' if you want to watch a movie about war photography.

Fair enough - I'd be in favour of those things in general, but I'm not sure shunning LLMs is the same as LLM-proof. Insofar we want to make our students LLM-proof (ie able to critique), I don't know if that happens with such kinds of assessment...

9DASHLINE β€” New Zealand foreign policy: From β€˜independence’ to β€˜realism’? Written by Lucas Knotter. NZ’s supposedly β€˜new’ foreign policy is thus neither truly independent, nor truly realist, nor prompted to safeguard Aotearoa’s public interest.

Many thanks to the team at @9dashline.bsky.social for allowing me to comment on Aotearoa's supposed recent 'turn' in foreign policy!

The tragedy is that a government on its way out COULD use that that time to try and realise some final ideals to shape the country into what the government thinks is something better. But all the tories have left is pandering to humans' most basic vices.
