All billionaires are bad people.

Leonardo DiCaprio is an anagram of Leonard Dio Crapio.

Makes you think.

I wrote a wee Substack about so many articles about the Riyadh Comedy Fest.
The tl;dr is that it's not ironic these acts signed a contract saying they wouldn't say certain things because they had nothing to say in the first place.

We need to keep politics out of sports and song contests because me not feeling guilty about a thing I enjoy is more important than opposing an ongoing genocide.

One of my favourite bits of trivia: Murder On The Dancefloor was written by the singer of New Radicals (of You Get What You Give fame).
After threatening to kick their asses in that song he also worked with Hanson.

Extreme music is in such a good place. I went to a festival yesterday and it was mostly awkward but sweet guys with varying degrees of facial hair complimenting each other's t-shirts between bands playing music that sounded like a neck exploding.

I had a bit in my Fringe show about how people (well, cops and media outlets) react differently when the victims of gun violence wear a suit.

I don't know what filet mignon is, I've only ever heard it referred to on TV shows, but I did just discover they've been saying 'filet mignon' and not 'flaming yon'.

My Fringe is done. I'm in Iceland, my partner has fallen asleep with her legs across me, I am watching wrestling, I am biting my tongue about the Edinburgh awards and on Saturday I will run a half marathon before defending my Rock Paper Scissors title from 2024. Also, Free Palestine.

I love that there's an alternative reality where Lisa Kudrow played Roz in Frasier and Peri Gilpin played Phoebe in Friends.

Doing my show at The Glasgow Zine Library tonight.
(The show is accessible and alcohol free so if you're sober in a wheelchair that's no bother.)

I was reading an interview with Alison Spittle in the Edinburgh Laughter Bulletin and thought, "hey, I did one of these last year, that's content, right?' so I took some screenshots to promote my show.

Join comedians and authors Eleanor Morton β€˜Belly laugh funny’ **** Β½ (Metro) and Alasdair Beckett King β€˜A formidable comic talent' **** (BeyondTheJoke.co.uk), for a live recording of their podcast, Eleanor & Alasdair Read That! This is the podcast where two red-headed comedians look back at classic children’s literature and ask β€˜Was it any good? Are we remembering it wrong? What the hell is happening here?’ From Beatrix Potter to Enid Blyton, Jacqueline Wilson to JRR Tolkien, expect nostalgia, first-year English lit levels of analysis, and lots of arguing over who's the youngest.

1/4 of tickets for Eleanor & Alasdair Read That Live are gone!

My new @edfringe.bsky.social show Matt Winning: Solastalgia is on sale now. Everyday (except 12th) at 16:35 Assembly George Square Studio 5.

It's about ending fossil fuels told through the lens of fatherhood & the history of making money from energy. #edfringe #MyAssembly

Ayo Adenekan: Goodness, this is accomplished. These autobiographical tales of growing up black & queer in Edinburgh are knitted together into a cohesive show. Delivery is measured & engaging & the punchlines regularly surprise. One of the most impressive debuts I can remember seeing. PWYW. 4/5
