Automatic Saves are the same as our existing Realm Backups, just a new name π How many you can keep at a time depends on a couple factors, but it's around 11 or so. More info: help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/art...
Manual Saves are new, and there's no limit to how long you can keep them around π

03.10.2025 17:42 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Automatic saves are the same thing as Backups now - every 30 minutes and at the end of sessions (e.g. when you switch slots, close the Realm, the Realm is idle for 5 min, etc). Manual saves have their own separate quota and never age off like Manual Saves do.
This is just more stuff for owners π
The new Realms Saves screen showing tabs with manual and automatic saves. There are buttons to "Save active world" and "Learn more". A storage quota bar at the top shows "0.33MB of 10.0GB used"

Realms Saves! You'll be able to manually backup your Realm world at any point, even while playing. In case of unexpected mishaps, automatic saves will be stored every 30 minutes of gameplay.

A minecraft baby zombie covered incorrectly in diamond armour, you can only see the hands and a part of the face sticking out
Doing some digital spring cleaning and I found an archive of every minecraft screenshot I took from about 2012-2016 whilst developing stuff. Oh boy :D
I think this was my first attempt at putting armour on mobs. Look at him π₯Ί

There's a new Edit World screen for Realms in Preview! While it looks familiar, there's actually a lot of exciting stuff going on under the surface.
When finished, we'll have a new packs/add-on system that will improve management and get rid of the "Unknown Pack" messageπ
