Hi - are you writing on studying in the US generally, as I have a good person who can talk to you if so? (male, 21, from UK)

OK, settle a family Xmas Day argument - am I right (I am) that Home Alone is, largely, a modern retelling of It's a wonderful Life - starts with siblings being horrible to each other, big family, man as 'angel' who saves Kevin...

Are you an intern who has come up with a great idea at a big company? If so get in touch - george.hayes@ft.com

Let me know if you have been credited for your idea, or not, and whether it lead to anything substantial (ie a job).

Thanks! #journorequest #interns #intern #internship #Spotify #jewelham

not seen it mentioned elsewhere so: my theory is that Elon has become obsessed with Britain because he's essentially stopped sleeping due to drugs and/or madness but for like six hours of his nights Americans are sleeping so Brits are the one English-speaking timezone awake and posting

Poss a tricky question as most of us will not have used more than one/ all three. I like CoverageBook a lot, it's not cheap though, 80 plus pounds a month. But very quick to compile reports, like '5 mins before a meeting quick' :)

Fair points. My personal view was that his background of 'market banter talk' (not limited to market traders at all as we know) was v out of kilter with what became a massive BBC show with a huge number of contestants where he had to know how to speak & behave sensitively and politely

29.11.2024 10:55 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly. Why was he given a platform? If he was funny, engaging, kind...? But every female, and a lot of males watching used to cringe at his obvious creepiness in almost every episode

The Gregg Wallace sacking is not only a good example of how the BBC seems to have a real problem standing up to bad behaviour but also how completely average men with no discernible talent are able to drift to the top and eat pudding on TV for hundreds of thousands of pounds

Interesting to see the universal outpouring of affection and respect for Mishal Husain as she moves on, (inded a v sad loss) versus the universal outpouring of 'I told you so' and disdain for Gregg Wallace. To my mind it makes the case for having *properly qualified* people in major presenting jobs

The Xmas lights are up in in a lot of towns tho. And where we live in the country, the tress are still brown/orange and there's lots of lovely wintry mist

Bluesky Vs. X: Can The Decentralized Platform Dethrone Elon Musk’s Revamped Twitter? Will Bluesky challenge X's dominance and compete with Meta to become a leading player in the social media landscape?

Good to be mentioned in this Forbes article on Bluesky vs Twitter. Enjoying not being visually assaulted by a Temu pig every 2 seconds, and the more friendly atmos obviously.

Really interested to know how you're all finding Bluesky, especially if you're in PR/ media: www.forbes.com/sites/anisha...
