Me: "Your final project has to be made using a specific program. Seriously, I cannot grade it if it is not in that file format. Here's a bunch of step-by-step tutorials."

Students: *proceed to turn in final project in every file format but the one asked for*

Definitely in that case, there isn't much you could do differently. You asked her to stop, and she didn't respect that.

Was she posting the pairing publicly where you could see it, or was she sending it to you specifically? If you had asked it not be sent directly to you, there shouldn't have been any issue. You have the right to ask for that space.

There's nothing wrong with curating your online experience. I'm not sure if you asked to use tags that you could block, but that might have been another option if you wanted to keep in contact with this person.

Trying to get an early start on my evaluation documentation -- It's a collection of all the professional development, service, etc. that I've done in the last year. It's really anxiety-inducing, but it's better to do it now than wait until the Spring term.

Morning thoughts: How the heck do people do things like meal planning? I have no idea what I'm going to be in the mood for from day-to-day. I just buy the same groceries (safe foods for my flavour of autism) every time and hope it works out... Is that technically meal planning?
