I do get that - and agree it’s not as subtle…but that said, it IS poking VERY significant fun at progressives as well, multiple times in the movie.

It’s certainly not only “what progressives want to hear”…but I did like your description of it being a bit of a “catharsis” film.

I loved it… hard to compare to Magnolia or Punch-Drunk Love because it is such non-stop action, and DiCaprio is just mwah 👨‍🍳🤌 so crazy good. Sooooo many white people-isms with the Christmas Adventure people. 🤣

Definitely an Academy Award forerunner in my book.

It's been a long time since I've been so entranced by a performance as by Samuel Blenkin's "Boy Kavalier" in Alien: Earth - nearly any time he's on screen. So refreshingly different. Love it.

So I updated to iPhone 17 after 5 years. The biggest "wows" for me after a few days of usage:

- the always on display is so great
- the Dynamic Island is so genius, such a delight
- ProMotion is so. *sleek*.
- the selfie camera being able to do landscape while holding it portrait

A+, can recommend
