Spoiler-free things I'd hope to see tweaked before diving back in:
1. economy & double damage re-balance
2. bounce platforming in certain zones (ah, arthritis 😢)
3. tweak item retrieval location after death
4. some obnoxious run backs (time & difficulty)
5. Insane / abrupt difficulty spike (see 1-4)

Sad to say that after about 10 hours of play, I'm finding #Silksong is more frustration than fun. I'll be shelving it for now, and hoping that some of these issues are addressed through patches or updates.

It's been a decade since I last bought a game on release lol. Ah well!

There's two poles to Sal Jiang content: raw, brutal violence and shameless screwball comedy. Bikes are like guitars. You get a nice one, then you have three, then suddenly they're taking up a room in your home.

Also last thing but while it's true your bike may never need its "dork disc", fussing over somebody else removing (or not) a small safety feature 'cause it's "uncool" low-key gives me the same vibes as using a seat belt silencer to avoid wearing the belt. Those vibes? Insecure and anxious vanity 🤷‍♀️

Not everyone wants/needs to ride a tour-worthy sports bike, remove spoke guards, or sit on hard narrow seats (legit had a dude tell me bike seats aren't *meant* to be comfortable). Racing? City commute? Off-road? Valid! ✅ The best way to ride is the way you're happiest, safest, and most comfortable.

In a week, I've had 3 dudes come over to me to explain how I need to get that little piece of plastic off my bike, because it ruins the look and serves no purpose. Ignoring that these are mandatory in some parts of the EU, including where I purchased my bike, they *do* serve a purpose, ya dorks.

While biking to work again has brought more joy to my early mornings, I have regretfully learned that some folks in my office's bike lockup will fervently encourage what I'm now calling "circumcising your bike" (i.e. removing spoke guards) because they prefer the look of the gears sans "dork disc" 🙄
