Example of infinite loop (this is what happened to me)

As I understand, we would lift this card and shift it to 3, it is committed to covering it. So 4 would activate but there is no other uncovered card for it to shift, so the value 2 just goes on top of 3 only.

I read the Compile Codex as thoroughly as I could and the gist of what I get is 'shifting' and 'playing' cards commits them to that position and should any new effects be revealed, it can't affect those cards, which should prevent these shenanigans.

I do really like it from the game I played but there is a great level of uncertainty on the rules (I ran into an infinite loop in first game) so I'm hoping with repeated plays this becomes less of an issue.

I really do love the idea of exploring it more it's really cool.
