Pretty much any policy aimed at pollution ends up saving far more in public health $$$ than it costs. (We have a long empirical record on this subject.) That means pollution policies are, contra @mattyglesias.bsky.social, perfectly well-suited to full-employment economies. It's fiscal conservatism!
