We are doing this. Our governments. Our taxes. Our arms sales.

This is our Holocaust. Our Cambodian killing fields. Our Balkans. Our Rwandan genocide.

We are doing this and history will never forgive us.

My inescapable conclusion has become that Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. Having grown up in a Zionist home, lived the first half of my life in Israel, served in the I.D.F. as a soldier and officer and spent most of my career researching and writing on war crimes and the Holocaust, this was a painful conclusion to reach, and one that I resisted as long as I could. But I have been teaching classes on genocide for a quarter of a century. I can recognize one when I see one.

This is not just my conclusion. A growing number of experts in genocide studies and international law have concluded that Israel’s actions in Gaza can only be defined as genocide.

The EU is fueling Israel's genocide and occupation in Palestine🚨

As EU foreign ministers meet to decide on sanctions against Israel, our new analysis reveals that the EU is pumping billions of euros into Israel’s economy.

Spare an angry thought for the ghouls at Boston Consulting Group, who, in a global first, didn't charge for their shitty consultancy work to 'increase the value of Gaza from zero to billions'

First you carpet-bomb, then you privatise their public land, and confiscate the private land of the survivors, which you generously allow then to stay in a 'housing unit'.
And you get to call it a 'development plan'

The Staggering Ecological Impacts of Computation and the Cloud Anthropologist Steven Gonzalez Monserrate draws on five years of research and ethnographic fieldwork in server farms to illustrate some of the diverse environmental impacts of data storage.

Good morning,

Did you know that the cloud has a greater carbon footprint than the airline industry? That a single data center can consume the equivalent electricity of 50,000 homes?

🌍🌍🌍 @kprodani.bsky.social and I make two new claims, provocatively stated: (i) Quantifying climate transition risk is easy, biodiversity is not (ii) The most recent regulatory strategies entirely escape the "risk-based approach" said to dominate prudential policy. /1
