I always thought a reason Sanji believed he could push Luffy away in WCI is cause of this scene. While Luffy didn't mean it, what he was about to say would show his love is conditional, and for Sanji - who thinks he needs to always prove his worth - that would leave a mark

Again, Luffy didn't mean it, his temper got the better of him. But the reason WCI is so good is cause it recontextualises scenes like this. Why did SANJI specifically get so upset at Luffy over this? Well, now we know. He was a child whose worth was in being an obedient soldier.

Law is startled and spits out smoke and spittle everywhere from utter shock.

Thought process was:
1. Law really deserves to get really high and just chill out
2. That would be the funniest possible time that Cora reveals himself to be alive
