Day 1 of the Wildland Urban Fire Summit #WUFS featured a home hazard assessment workshop a great field trip to the bosque in Los Lunas to view post-fire effects and learn about rehabilitation efforts and wildfire suppression tactics.

Our Botany program recently traveled to Santa Rosa to check out progress on the Pecos Sunflower (state and federally-listed threatened species).

6,780 acres in the Brazos Cliffs area that have been protected by a conservation easement through the Forest Legacy Program!

A great time was had by all yesterday at the Albuquerque Balloon Museum!
Our Bernalillo district firefighters were on hand to help Smokey Bear Historical Park staff and Smokey himself spread the good word on #wildfire prevention and help cool some young folks off on a hot day!
