What a stinker of a gameweek GW2 was. 39 points and it could have been worse had I not gone for Dubravka over Sels too. My preseason angst over Watkins & Palmer vs Haaland & a lower priced midfielder seems to have gone my way without it resulting in a decent rank… Plenty of time to go.

An easy roll. Diouf is the biggest worry but has attacking threat. I think that the value of having more information and 2 FTs outweighs an immediate move.

I’m planning on having three of your four bench players in my XI so I’d go for it!

If your rank isn’t in the top million then there won’t be a GW1 clone that is in the top million.

63 points and I’m pretty happy with GW1 and the squad structure with Salah & Haaland. I expect I’ll move Tielemans or Rutter to Anderson at some point to access the £6.0m defender price point but it’s a clear roll for this week.

GW1 team. Playing with a Haaland & Salah draft, and hoping Haaland & a cheapo midfielder can battle Watkins & Palmer.

I’m strongly considering a triple premium structure without Palmer. The big advantage is having the best captain each week without having to use transfers. There is inefficiency(£14m on Haaland), but the difference between this structure and ‘optimal’ teams is only ~5 points over eight gameweeks.

Taking into account the double points for captaincy then Bruno is best for PPM at 6.2, followed by Salah at 5.6, then Haaland at 4.4 and finally Palmer at 4.2.

No need for Cole Palmer in FPL?

In a team where you own the four highest projected points scorers over the first eight gameweeks of the season you would captain Salah four times, Haaland and Bruno twice each, and Palmer would not have the armband (using Review’s MD model predictions).

FPL Fran did free hit 33 so is on an alternative strategy.

GW33 team. Bench boost is active. Took a dubious hit to do Pope -> Martinez with one eye on GW36. OR 19.5k. Good luck everyone.

Here’s what I settled on for GW30 wildcard. I was close to bringing in Saka but ended up liking Palmer before GW33 more. I also toyed a lot with Foden and the decision to bring in a Liverpool defender for the bench boost in 32/33 was a late one. Good luck everyone. #fpl

I got lucky and moved him in 21 (I had both Solanke and Mateta previously) to free up funds for the midfield. I think Wissa, Wood and JP are the best replacements (depending on who is already owned along with Isak).

GW21. Went for a mini-wildcard and used all 4 FTs, bringing in Hall, Mbeumo, Bruno & Vardy. OR 6.8k. Hope I can roll next week. Good luck everyone. #FPL

Perfectly respectable team, which I’m sure you know buddy. There have been some very swingy weeks so far this year and you’ll be on the right end of some of them soon. Keep going. What’s the plan for dealing with Saka?

Here’s how I lined up for GW17. I went back and forth on Rogers vs Enzo and I got lucky (as of Sunday morning before the Chelsea game). I rolled so have 4 FTs to help deal with the Saka injury. OR as of Sunday morning is 3.5k (green arrow up from 7.2k) - I’d be happy to finish the week there.

Small red arrow despite getting Isak on the wildcard. Mbeumo’s late goal against Chelsea cost me quite a few points and meant my pre-wildcard team outscored my current team. 3 FTs for GW17 and the current plan is to roll.

Hit the wildcard so I could bring Isak & TAA in. It was hard saying farewell to Mbeumo & Wissa. Good luck everyone. OR 5.9k.

If you still had your wildcard, when do you think the optimal time to play it would be between now and GW19?
