The summit was a remarkable gathering of thought leaders, innovators, and changemakers dedicated to transforming health systems across Africa and the UK.

We attended this conference and shared insights from our work across the globe, particularly the critical gap in the lack of a structured referral system from clinicians to habilitation and vision rehabilitation specialists in Africa and the Caribbean.

#SabrinaDjazoul explored how accessible technology can transform learning for visually impaired students in the Global South.

Team VEA-int tomorrow is presenting about habilitation challenges faced by individuals with visual impairment in the regions where we work and exploring how the global community can collaborate to ensure that no one is left behind due to sight loss.

02.17. 2025 – Eye Health Africa and Ubora Foundation Africa, in collaboration with VEA-int, visited the Ugandan Ministry of Health and Kiwoko Hospital.

This partnership represents a unified effort to address critical eye health, habilitation and vision rehabilitation challenges in Uganda.

31,1, 2025, VEA-int had the honour of meeting with the Executive Director of the ‘National Healthcare Enhancement Foundation’. moh.gov.jm we highlighted the critical importance of early eye health, habilitation, and vision rehabilitation interventions in Jamaica.

On 30,01,2025, VEA-int visited JSB and discussed ways of supporting JA VI’s.

Topics included assistive tech, capacity building, and training collaborations.

We donated sensory equipment, including blind footballs, to support adaptive sports.

Thanks to JSB for the warm welcome.

We toured the facilities, learned about their inclusive education efforts, and explored collaboration opportunities.

20,11,2024, VEA-Int met Mr Johnny Palliparambil, a dedicated member of El Shaddai Charitable Trust.

From a rescued child to a mentor, he shared inspiring stories of how the trust has enabled rescued children attain competence, autonomy, and relatedness.
