I think it's because you already have a notion of the celebrities characteristics, and can see if they are acting to their familiar 'type'. With Johnny Public you have to get to know their character, which makes following the ordinary version a bit more taxing. Same with most celeb reality shows.

Sorry, but this stopped "A Design For Life" by Manic Street Preachers from getting to No. 1. 'And for that reason, I'm out'.

Had a look at its chart run - in at 17, down to 81 the following week, then back up to 49 in week 3 before leaving the chart - all without needing a TOTP appearance or (seemingly) any playlisting on radio. Good work sir!

Absolute joke of a ref in that game - obviously came off early to avoid having to pass any Shrimpers on the way out. May be sour grapes, but we really should have had a penalty in the second half - Appiah-Forson hauled down by the defender. DAZN commentary team also massively biased

Only on book 11 myself, "Glutton" by Ed Gamble (don't judge me) - I read "Free" by Lea Ypi before that, which is a gloriously funny and thought provoking look at growing up in Albania at the end of the Communist era.
