The first film I can remember laughing at till I thought I would die was Norman Wisdom's "On The Beat" which came out today in 1962 ( I probably saw a re-release a couple of years after).

I got quite drunk with GH after that show. I was first in the Green Room after and he was second - all on his own. I just said, "Aye Aye, that's all over. You want a drink?" and he did. Incredibly he knew me (!) from some of my TV shenanigans and we stood talking for the next hour.
