the better question may be "why am I so hung up on this" but the fact that I'm coming back to it hours later noticing a new small weird detail kinda demonstrates why it lives in my head

how/why is the clock lit but it doesn't extend outward to the ceiling or floor? like I get lighting the clock in-universe, clocks are worthless if you can't read them, but why do it like that?
