I think it might be how it was perceived for a while.

The first episode drew a LOT of kids in 'n due to the bright colours 'n spooky dark mystery.

there's something so heart breakingly, disgustingly beautiful about this piece. I think the biggest point in it for me though was the woman at the end celebrating over buying the last buffalo and idea of shooting them all together. It's a mini echo of the past.
