When the Vought/Trump people start making NIH institute directors political it is a VERY BAD SIGN for all of US science, which stands on NIH/public funds.

Institute directors have always been serious scientists selected by other scientists— not political appointees.

Criticizing the state = Weakening national unity = Helping the enemy.

It’s a classic loyalty framing tactic.
Instead of debating facts or principles, the state (or its defenders) reframes dissent as betrayal.

We charged our Ioniq 5 at a supercharger once just so we knew how to use it before our 1st long road trip. Highest speed I saw was 99kw 😂. We’ve now driven from Denver to Daytona beach and back and Denver to Chicago and back. Never had to use a supercharger. 12-20 minutes at EA every time.
