Do not watch tonight’s State of the Union. Low ratings wound him. Let’s make this the least-watched SotU address ever.

Yes, the GOP controls Congress. That's why it's key to show Congress COULD stop the madness. And it's not just the DHS bill. Congress could repeal the prior multi-year $75b for DHS; set up a special investigative committee (cf. Watergate); amend the Insurrection Act; etc.

I see that ICE now has a verified presence on Bluesky. See ya elsewhere (I'm not hard to find). Remember, you don’t really know who owns Bluesky and some techbroligarch could boot you at any time. You could also be silenced en masse right before an election. Do you have β€œsocial media β€˜go’ bag”?

Remember when there used to be like 10 New Year's Day Bowl Games because ABC, NBC, and CBS all had rights and you had to channel hop? (And the Orange Bowl was played at it's rightful time at night.)

Regarding commercial-supported streaming. That's a great argument for owning physical media of things you like. And also a spot where in the past a discussion of Cranz's Plex server would have commenced.

LETTER FROM THE EDITORS: IU fires student media director after he refused to censor the IDS Indiana University directed the IDS to stop printing news.

Very sad to see what’s happening at Indiana. The school has decided it wanted to muzzle its student newspaper to only print fluffy campus life stories in special sections. When they pushed back, the school cut all print funding and fired their staff director
