ok, that is the setting. but if it's causing it to not boot anymore, that means your install is messed up. most likely the EFI system partition is missing or broken, can happen if you upgraded from win7/8 IIRC?

Oh, the legacy / UEFI boot mode setting might be in the "CSM (Compatibility Support Module)" menu

hm, if you're on windows 10 or 11 you should be able to just change the bios back to UEFI mode and turn on secure boot? it should support it

yeah, i've ran into stuff like that several times. most recently, steam freezing my whole PC after opening 😭

though, i've also had the opposite happen. BG3 was a black screen on windows, but ran perfectly on linux.
