A poem about my nemesis wheat then a description of the photograph. A field of green, so tall and grand, A silent threat across the land. For in each kernel, gold and light, A hidden challenge, day and night. The baker's art, a tempting smell, A simple grain that breaks the spell. No comfort found in staff of life, Just whispered worries, bitter strife. A single crumb, a hidden trace, Sets off a swift, unwelcome race. A tricky foe, in form so small, Whose presence can undo it all. A low-angle perspective plunges the viewer into the heart of a dense, vibrant corn field, where lush, green foliage dominates the foreground. The leaves, in various shades of green—from bright lime where the sun's light catches them, to deep emerald in the shadows—splay outwards, creating intricate layers and textures. Each leaf is sharply detailed, their veins, and slightly curled edges adding depth to the scene. The composition is vertical, with tall stalks reaching upwards, topped with feathery, light brown tassels.
