Study finds perceived political bias in popular AI models Both Republicans and Democrats think LLMs have a left-leaning slant when discussing political issues.

If misinformation is often associated with radical-right, but LLMs are often seen as more leftist (e.g. news.stanford.edu/stories/2025...), I wonder if it could really be some remedy against the spread of harmful misinformation

Have been reading Navalny's memoir and remembered that there is a gem of a field experiment published in @jepsjournal.bsky.social, which took place in the 2013 Moscow mayoral election, the last election Putin "allowed" Navalny to contest: www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

On the other platform radical right ppl called me an extremist.

Apparently here it is now the radical left calling me that.

Getting tired of being personally attacked for the research I'm doing. If you think the research questions I ask make me an extremist, please unfollow!

Can banning political ideologies protect democracy? ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ๐Ÿ†š๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

Our (w. @valentimvicente.bsky.social) paper finds: punishing individuals might backfire. We study a West German policy banning "extreme left" individuals from working for the state.

New article out in World Politcs. We analyze how different groups react to varying programs of social democratic parties. We find less trade-offs than often assumed. Generally, more left-progressive programs increase support among social democratic potentials

The regression table examines factors influencing daily housework hours for women and men, highlighting key findings:

- **Female Interviewer:** Women spend more time on housework with a female interviewer, increasing the gender gap.
- **Paid Work Time:** More paid work reduces housework time for both genders, more so for men.
- **Income:** Higher income correlates with less housework for both.
- **Marital Status:** Married women do more housework; married men do less.
- **Children:** Having children increases housework for both, with significant effects across all child age groups.
- **Interview Length:** Longer interviews slightly increase men's housework time.

The model explains 16.7% of the variance for women and 9.09% for men, based on 18,965 individuals and 110,544 observations. (Summarized by mistral)

Conference season is upon us. Researchers will soon be challenged with the most difficult technical problem of their career: transferring the slides to the conference computer!

A trick: bit.ly. Create a short link to your slides, go to the link and voila you made it without passing around the USB.
