I contributed an adventure to this. No ICE in Minnesota, no ICE anywhere. Prosecute ICE.

Succulent update. It's still flowering, and it looks like more are emerging from the center!

This blog post includes some things I've learned, including why bonsais aren't typically grown from seed.

Bonsai Sprouts It's been 10 days since I started the process of planting bonsai seeds, and I have a few sprouts. So far I have one locust and three pigeon peas. The locust actually started sprouting in my closet, where I had them sitting for the first few days to germinate. We had a few really cold days here, and the linen closet was the warmest place in the house.

Televangelism has been a thing since the 1920s. One could argue that the goal should be to spread the word and/or to help people (though becoming popular could further the other goals)... but Christianity has always used whatever means are available to reach Christians and convert non-Christians.

Introduction to BusyΒ Books When my best friend told me she was pregnant, I immediately started making a list of things I could knit and sew for my first godchild. The list quickly got out of control, and had to be narrowed down to the most practical items that I could feasibly finish making before the due date. I ended up making some bibs, a carseat poncho, a couple different blankets, and probably some other things I'm forgetting.

Busy books are great for car rides, waiting rooms, or any time you need to keep little hands busy. I made this one relatively small, with the pages only measuring 7x7", which makes it easy for toddlers to hold on to and easy to pack in a diaper bag or backpack.

This is an overview of the first #busybook I made. A lot of it is #handsewn, but the pages are all finished with a #sewingmachine, and with some alterations, it could be done mostly by machine.

That would be hard to do over social media, but if you have any small game stores in your area, they tend to have game nights, and might have a copy of Ark Nova available to play.

If you decide to buy a copy, I'd encourage you to buy from a local game store too. They are slowly disappearing.

Arc Nova day! This game takes us like 5 hours to play, so we plan ahead and get snacks to have for lunch while playing.

Easy Carrot Cake You will love this moist and easy carrot cake recipe with a creamyΒ cream cheese frosting. One of our most popular cake recipes! Read all the rave reviews!

This is the cake recipe I use: www.inspiredtaste.net/25753/carrot...
With this icing: www.allrecipes.com/recipe/8379/...

The icing in the original recipe is great, I just never remember to buy the cream.

Cakes done, and I get to lick the cream cheese icing off the spoon because no one else is around right now, lol. The recipe is for a 2 layer cake, but I always make 2 single layers because my kid doesn't like nuts and raisins in his carrot cake, and I think that's a crime.

Recipes below.

The peels will be added to my bag of scraps in the freezer, to make broth later.

A purple cutting board with a metal grater, a white measuring cup on top. Half the cutting board is taken up by a pile of carrot peels and ends. A peeler is half on the top right edge of the cutting board, on top of the peels. Above the cutting board is a glass container of carrot sticks and a white mixing bowl full of grated carrot. You can see part of the bag the carrots were in on the left. It's all sitting on a wooden table.

My partner's birthday is coming up, and I always make him carrot cake. I can't bring myself to buy just enough carrots when I can get 3lbs of carrots for the same price. So I grate what I need and cut the rest up for snacks.

Today, I started writing about the busy book I sewed. Then I had to find photos on dropbox... where *every photo I have ever taken* auto-uploads into one folder.

I have yet to emerge from dropbox. But here are some photos I found. Follow me if you want to (eventually) see how I made this.

I'm new here and don't know what I'm doing, but here's a succulent flower! I normally kill succulents, so this is exciting.

I'm also trying to grow bonsais, which may be a little ambitious. If you want to see how that goes, you can follow me here or on my blog: www.orangeraspberrylemonade.com
