I'm cleaning up my shop and found two nearly-finished iridescent trans flag stained glass suncatchers that I had forgotten about but went ahead and wrapped up tonight. I'd love to find them homes — they're pretty big (11.5"x7.5"), $200 each. DM if you're interested! 💖

this came out so lovely I am super happy with it!
this is the first piece I tried out a new wood finish on and I love the color. for those interested I am now using tried and true wood finish (linseed oil / beeswax) it seems to hold up to water better than the cutting board oil I used before!

Omg I did a few photo transfers way back it was so hard 😭

Yes! I have seen this method work fine without slip but you risk more peeling/worse adhesion without using slip in my experience, though air bubbles are easier to squeeze out without slip :3

Yesss I have a hoard of a bunch of different sponges for glazing. I love the natural sponges for more rough texture and makeup sponges are perfect when you want super clean fine gradients!!

This time I just used a black underglaze wash over the initial painting of browns!! But at cone 6 I bet that an iron oxide wash would look very similar? I applied the brown underglazes in layers from dark to light with a sponge too to make things have a smoother color gradient :3

Please let me know if yall have any questions! There are lots of more detailed tutorials on this process on YouTube and Instagram as well, but this is how I learned to do it :3
