A gravel bar in the river. Behind it, gold coloured Poplar trees are interspersed with a few dark green conifers. The sky is mostly light grey & white clouds. Looking closely at the gravel bar, the specks center right are a small flock of Canada Geese.

Goose with an attitude. Canada Goose with it's neck outstretched, beak open, pink tongue protruding.

Canada Geese are on their way South. A small group were resting on a gravel bar in the middle of the North Nechako River.

Dunno either, but it's a great shot.

A single mushroom amongst fallen leaves and blades of grass. The mushroom's stem is twisted and the cap is folded up exposing the gills.

A hill top with a mix of conifers and deciduous trees. The conifers are a deep green. The poplars and alders are gold, amber and lime coloured. This section of hill top is more golds than green and set against a sky that is light Robin egg blue.

The sun came out this morning, whoo hoo!!! The poplars on the foothills are showing their autumn golds.

Two garden snails are circling each other on a wet, flat rock. They are preparing to copulate.

It is such a soggy, dreary day. Rained for several hours, once it stopped the clouds came down to rest on the top of the foothills. No sunshine peeking through today! The garden snails are loving the weather and feeling quite amorous.

That is such a beautiful scene!

And on the other side of the pond, in the northern interior of British Columbia, the sky is the colour of lead, everything is sodden & even the crows looked dejected. There's always tomorrow😉.

October the 'Spooky' month. Big fan of traditional Halloween and harvest displays. I prowl neighbourhoods looking for yards with scarecrows, ghosts, witches, black cats & bats etc.

All things being equal, I couldn't handle the heat/tornadoes/insects that you have to deal with. But, let me tell you, we all get pretty excited for Spring up here!!!

Absolutely lovely.

A triangular shaped, green & brown insect is perched on the 'cone' of an Echinacea against an ochre background.

An insect (Sheildbug?)perched on a Purple Coneflower, trying to warm up in the morning sun after a -1C (30F) night.

I think it would be a great project.
