Almost made the drive to Mpls for this series — had hotel reservations and travel plans (but held off on tickets). Kept watching the forecast and cancelled everything on Friday. Forecast is NOT promising.

Four home games in Cleveland between Labor Day and Thanksgiving. FOUR. In 12 weeks.

Then four home games in the five Sundays between Thanksgiving and New Years.

1-31 was rock bottom for me. And the whole Mike Holmgren era a close 2nd tied with the Watson trade.

I saw him play in 2017 against Iowa when he was in his last year at Wyoming leading up to the draft. He was NOT impressive in that game. I wrote him off at that point. My mistake.

Got to see Manzo make that same hit in Des Moines this summer when the Clippers were playing the Iowa Cubs. A thing of beauty.

I listened to the podcast version of CBD today on an afternoon walk and heard this commentary...but did not pick up on the significance at the time.
