A Disgruntled Tater

Tonight will be one week since my very Best Hound in Town crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Copper was 16.

The cats are running rampant without you to scold them for their bad behavior. And your kitty buddy is missing you too. We all are.

I brought you home today Copper. You're with us again, always.

That's what I keep telling myself, but I'm struggling to shake the fear.

This is a very anxiety question, but all of my school loans were forgiven due to the borrower's defense lawsuit & then Trump was elected and ever since I've been terrified they could just return. Is that possible with the changes proposed both officially & in Project 2025?

My daughter invited her boyfriend over tomorrow, despite me warning that the Bills game will be on, it is an important one, & I will be expressing my thoughts & feelings about the game very, very loudly.

She was warned. I'm not apologizing tomorrow when I'm informed- "I'm doing too much."

This may be a hot take, particularly from a tater, but I don't like mashed potatoes with stuffed peppers. I made smashed seasoned potatoes with cheese instead, and it made more sense.

There's just no rest for a weary Tater. 😂 My sleep choices have been absolutely atrocious of late, little to stressy-depressy, this Tater is feeling pretty darn fried 🍟

Combine my anxiety & natural night owl tendencies with a healthy pinch of insomnia & an ill-timed accidental nap & I find myself at a 4 am crossroads-
Just gut it out, stay up & "fix" that sleep schedule.
Or, fall asleep at about 5 am and really mess up that sleep schedule.

Update, I have the Dr Pepper and the world is right. Ish. It's not. But I'm taking the small win.

I've been out of Dr Pepper for roughly 94 minutes and I'm already irritated. And, may have made my son go grab me a Dr Pepper from the closest gas station. Part of me knows that's ridiculous. The rest of me can't wait for my Dr Pepper to get here.
