The funny thing is that I work with some guys who are as close as you can get to the real life versions of Chuck Schumer’s imaginary friends and they are so much angrier at Trump than Schumer can imagine

Once again, Gillibrand’s office picks up but no one at any of @schumer.senate.gov’s offices seems to be able to answer the phone

I’m sure the senators are glad that no one has ever committed a crime, say an assassination, over their dissatisfaction with health insurance in this country

Reminder that, unless a creative freelancer has a spouse with a day job that offers health insurance, they likely have an ACA plan. And with the hits to creative industries the past few years, I'm guessing many qualify for subsidies.

The ACA made my whole self-employed life possible. For almost ten years, I was able to build a career that actually worked for me AND keep receiving necessary care to address the consequences of childhood medical neglect. And I still deserved better. We all do.

The thing about being one of Schumer’s constituents is that I’ve never, not one single time, been able to reach a real person at his office or get someone to call me back. And I’ve tried. So. Many. Times.

I don't think it's cowardice. I think that they are OK with what the GOP is doing. The sooner folks reconcile with this, the better.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.
