NPs in all specialities are basically holding medical care together by a single fiber at this point. This is about to be a fukn disaster for all of us.

Genuinely needed this after the news broke that both PA & NP programs were removed from the β€œProfessional Program” list for student loans.

You can get $50K/yr in loans for chiropractic school or theology, but PA & NP students are now limited to 20K/yr.

Those programs cost 100K btw…

The owner was one of the folks quoted in A Precarious State. I wonder if having WeWork as a tenant is as responsible for any precariousness as whatever is happening on the street.

This line from Mamdani's father just really struck me. Great profile:

β€œI was an Indian in Uganda. I was a Muslim in India. And I was all of these things in New York City,” Mahmood Mamdani explained to his son. And β€œto be a minority is also to see the truth of the place amidst the promise of it.”

Ok, I keep getting asked about how to complain about Kimmel.
The best way to complain that will have the biggest impact?
See if you have a Sinclair or nexstar station in your area.
2. Watch the local newscast tonight or some time this week.
3. Note the companies that bought tv adverts.
4. Call them and let them know you will boycott them until they quit supporting that media company.
Trust me. I worked in tv for 45 years.
Nothing you do will have greater impact.

Just to be clear: it is okay to struggle. It is okay to voice those struggles. It is okay to need help.

My issue is when people tell others, who are trying to do things, that doing so is wrong and misguided.
