Final postcards of the day. Errol Flynn and Brenda Marshall made two films together: The Sea Hawk (1940) and Footsteps in the Dark, the following year.
Brenda was married to William Holden for thirty years and had two sons by him.

Ann Sheridan is best known for the likes of Angels with Dirty Faces & They Drive by Night or my favourite I was A Male War Bride with Cary Grant.
Richard Carlson was the leading man in the Creature from the Black Lagoon & was also in the Little Foxes.
Both appeared together in Winter Carnival (1939)

Shirley is best known as Jill Masterson in Goldfinger & was also in a number of Carry On films before retiring from acting in 1969

Back to vintage postcards with Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Yolande Donlan. Although both were American, they both spent time making films in the UK and strarred in the comedy Mister Drake's Duck in 1951 with Jon Pertwee. Yolande was also in Expresso Bongo with Cliff Richard.

German born actress Tamara Desni made several British pictures from the early 30s with her last being Dick Barton at Bay in 1951. She and Binnie Barnes were both in the 1934 film Forbidden Territory. Barnes was also in the original Last of the Mohicans & played pirate Anne Bonny in the Spanish Main.

Day 199 of traipsing through my music and movie postcards as always we start with music. Starting off with some Rush postcards from Prog magazine.

Final postcards of the day. Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour. Currently I'm watching Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour in My Favorite Brunette and I can't remember if Bing ends up with the girl too in a cameo role. Dorothy appeared in all seven 'Road To . . . ' movies with Bob and Bing.

Back to vintage postcards. Gary Cooper and Joan Leslie who starred together in Sergeant York. Cooper won the Oscar for his performance in it and went on to win for High Noon too.
Joan Leslie was also in High Sierra as well asYankee Doodle Dandy and went on to star in a number of Westerns.

Got to say there's not enough love out there for Tom Thumb. Me? I love it.

#5debutalbums1014. The first one out the box for me and a definite contender for my top five. Shine by former Nightwish singer Anette Olzon.

Day 198 of traipsing through my music and movie postcards as always we start with music. Some mo' Floyd to begin with.

Final postcards of the day. Richard Dix and Irene Dunne starred together in 1931's Cimarron. It was to be the first of only four Westerns ever to win the Best Picture award. Both actors were nominated too. For Dix it was his only nomination. Dunne was nominated another four times but never won.

Vintage postcards with Constance & Joan Bennett. Born to acting parents they were perhaps destined for Hollywood. Joan played Amy in the 1933 version of Little Women & was the wife in Father of the Bride & Father's Little Dividend.
Constance was in Topper & Topper Takes a Trip as Marion Kerby.

I really like the second Kane Gang album Miracle. I know it's more American sounding than the first album but I prefer it.

A wee bit of Superheroes and Sci-Fi in this lot.
