Is it feasible to reflash these cheap ESCs?
They look to be using a Silicon Labs EFM8BB10F8G MCU.
There's no dedicated programming headers on the board.

Looking closer at the listing it mention "Specially optimized software for excellent compatibility with disc-type motors". I presume "disc-type motors" is a bad translation for "pancake motors" but I don't see why they would perform any better with this ESC.

Anyone familiar with RC ESCs?
I got a bunch of iffy 40A ESCs from AliExpress that don't work like my other ESCs.
Smoothly adjusting the throttle causes them to jump between discrete speed steps with a violent jerk.
