This year I'm gonna try taking new growth vines from the wisteria and cutting the leaves off and adding small cuts below the leaf node, covering them in hormone, and just sticking it into the soil while it's still attached to the main plant to keep it alive. But it's more time consuming.

I tried that jar method before with raspberry cuttings because it was "the best mothod" for semi hard vines, never worked 😭 I'm still unsure if goo or powder hormone works best, I like to think the goo is better at "sticking" and saturating the soil with the hormone than powder could be.

But from the looks of your other Bonsai work, seems you've been doing great once you actually get them growing! :3 love seeing your progress pics 💚

Propogating cuttings can be such a difficult and frustrating process, out of all the cutting I took last year, the only one that propogated was a hydrangea cutting.
Whether I'm doing something wrong, or need better rooting hormones or methods, it's just a lot of trail and error... And waiting 😂

I've been trying to do this with wisteria cuttings to try my own hand at Bonsai, but last years cuttings kept failing.
now I need to wait for this year to try again! x3

After I was comfortable with it for a year (in case anything happened to it), started stretching it until I got my chunky red acrylic ring. Then I was like "Nice! I really like the size and look of this!"
Kept that in for so long I've forgotten what size it actually is now 😂😂
